Amanda & Luke Got Married

My best friend from 7th grade married her Skidmore lover on September 18th of this year. It was the most perfect wedding.

The weather was superb. The food was delectable. The ceremony was unique. The decorations were classy. The reception was a blast. The night was crazy awesome.

This wedding was not perfect by accident. During the 11 months of their engagement Amanda lived and breathed wedding. She researched, visited, demanded, crafted, haggled, shopped, waited, wrapped and otherwise owned every detail of this event. And the result was a day that was completely true to her and Luke.

The ceremony honored the love of other married couples.

The signs were written by my beautiful fiancee while the bridal party ladies pranced around in robes getting ready for the ceremony.

The music inspired a dance party that did not rest.

The photo booth provided an unforgettable experience that ensured the participation of every guest.

Mark and I were so pleased to end our wedding season at the wedding of such dear friends that was also a magnificently kick-ass party. It is so meaningful to me that I had the opportunity to share in this day as a bridesmaid for Amanda as I am beginning to envision my own wedding.

And in case you're wondering. Amanda is not resting on her wedding-planning laurels just because she's married. She is still trawling those wedding blogs. But now she can send her ideas off and share her wisdom with me.
